Witney Gazette July 1st 2015. “Mark Wood weighed just 5st 8lb when he died of starvation. ATOS healthcare did a reassessment of his ability to work and declared him fully fit, without consulting Dr Ward in Bampton surgery. His mental condition meant he was totally unfit to work so when his benefits were stopped, he had no money and simply starved to death. Mark's art work has recently been discovered by his mother Jill Gant. Some of his work it being exhibited in Oxford Town Hall in an exhibition entitled 'The Spirit of Nature.'”
