Scope and content

West Ox Arts based in the upper room of the Town Hall held an exhibition of 10 beautiful costumes used in the filming of Downton Abbey; parts of the series are filmed in Bampton. The charge of £5 per head helped West Ox Arts to raise £3,000. The Gallery is a charity and relied on a £5,000 per year grant from WODC but this was cut in April last year (2012).
