Lance Corporal Herbert Lock: B Coy 44th Bn. Canadian Infantry, New Brunswick. He died aged 30 on November 1st 1918. He was the son of Mr & Mrs W Lock of the Market Place in Bampton.

It was demolished in February 2004 soon after this photograph was taken. On was on the road out of Bampton towards Clanfield; there used to be two bungalows on the right and Aulnoy was the one nearer to Bampton.
