Scope and content

Mary Ellis was a wonderful lady who flew over 1,000 planes including more than 400 Spitfires. She was born in Leafield near Witney and was a good friend with our own Molly Rose OBE who was also in the ATA. Mary was 101 when she died. The article is a wonderful read, not just to learn about Mary but about the role of the ATA in World War Two.
