In May 2010 Carnival Films created the scenery for filming the first series of Downton Abbey around St Mary The Virgin Church, Church Green and the Old Grammar School in Bampton. There was a wonderful fun fair created including a full sized helter-skelter which local children were invited to play on in the evening.
