Scope and content

The Drinkwater family have lived in Bampton from very early 1900s. William Frank Drinkwater was born in 1893 and served with the Royal Field Artillery from 1914 to October 1922 but did 4 years with them from 1910. His son William, Bill to all who knew him in Bampton married Clara Wells. Clara had a cousin Nell Cox. There are pictures of these people and scans of their rent books through their years in Bampton. In August 2004 a conversation with Bill was recorded where he talked about his time during WWII and there is a transcript of this conversation in the pdf.
