Scope and content

John Clarke was born in 1937 and went to school in Aston, and probably Bampton as well at one time.

"My father has two younger brothers one called Raymond born in 1939 and the youngest is Malcolm.
Their parents names were Charles and Iris Clarke.
In 1955 I know they were then living in Aston at 2 Red Mays The Ham.
We are somehow related to the Woodleys and I believe from what my father said before he passed was they were something to do with Morris Dancing.
I also know that my dad's cousin grew up in either Aston or Bampton. His name is Brian Clarke and he now lives in Australia. His mother's name was Margaret."

In one picture taken in 1947 he is aged 10 and dressed for the British Legion carnival.
Slightly older taken May 22nd 1957 he is in Limasol while away on National Service.
