Phil Addison and his family came to live in Bampton in 1940 to escape the bombing on the south coast. Phil was aged 7 and he stayed in Bampton until 1950 aged 17. He was in the choir of St Mary's and the photograph shows the boys L-R back row:- Bill Daniels, Phil Addison, Terry Rouse, Barry Taylor, Stan Green. Front row L-R Robert Radband, Frank Hudson, Wally Woodley and Don Rouse when the choir boys were taken on a trip to Southsea in 1947. Phil and Terry were always good mates and the photograph of the two of them was taken in 2015.
