Dr John Bullen holding a large salmon he caught outside the back door of his house, Bushey House. He was a very keen fisherman. He was a very well liked doctor in Bampton and some memories are :-
Paul Mellin - Dr Bullen gave me an awesome vintage fishing rod once ... love it. Still have it.
April Sarahs - I wasn’t aloud my ears pierced until I could pay myself. 1st week's wages & Dr Bullen did them for me while still having his pipe in surgery.
Jacqueline Allinson - Dr Bullen had his house and surgery built in 1950. We have all the original plans and specification of work that was given to us by his daughter Ann. We still have the drugs hatch inside ( but not outside) where he left prescriptions for collection and the lockable cupboards he used to keep the drugs in for dispensing. Oh, and we have the Bullen Crest over the living room fireplace!
Rita Govier - Dr. Bullen was the best, he pierced my daughter's ears too.
