Scope and content

This is a photograph of Bampton Brass Band. Henry Taunt was the organist at St Mary's; he did not play a brass instrument but he was asked to be their conductor. I believe the man in the bowler hat is Henry Taunt. He lived at the Elms and was organist for 50 years. He was succeeded by his daughter. The band is standing in the Market Square by the Town Hall
