Scope and content

In 2001, Freda Bradley had her book published called "Bampton, The Way It Was." Freda was born and lived in Bampton all her life and took a very active part in all that went on, right from being a very young child. She was a lovely lady with that dearest of all dispositions, an inability to talk with you without a wonderful smile on her face. With the encouragement of friends and family, Freda wrote down her memories of her life time in Bampton and in so doing, also wrote the most wonderful piece of social history which will interest anyone with an interest of life through the twentieth century as well as anyone wanting to know more about Bampton in that time period.
