Scope and content

In this picture Bertha Waite is seen with her bicycle on the Buckland to Gainfield Road.

Bertha Waite was the sister of Harold Waite who was Marina Waite’s father.
Harold was married to ? Morton who was the sister of Min Morton.
Min was married to Fred Dafter.
Fred and Min were the parents of Pam Dafter (now Bridgeman).
The Waites were a Bampton family who originally lived in Weald.
Bertha lived in the thatched cottage in Bushey Row. It was in a very dilapidated state when she lived there. I have a feeling her mother had lived there. Later, she married (or lived with Jim Lay , in Bridge Street).
