Scope and content

Horace Holifield of Safe Ride in Ramsden was a wonderfully generous man. He created an outer building with a kitchen and invited many groups to have tea or lunch there and he had a very good electric organ inside and would entertain people with it. This picture is of just a few of the Bush Club members who enjoyed a tea there in 1999. Horace died early in 2019.
Seen in the picture are Mrs Deacon whose son Philip used to own and run the Poacher's Rest in the Market Square, Lilian Fowler, Mrs Mansfield, Eileen Horne and Mrs Little.
