Scope and content

These post cards were found for sale somewhere on the south coast by Carol. She took the time to find out where Black Bourton is and found this website and contacted us to see if we'd like the post cards. We are thrilled to have them because family members are still here in Bampton. If you put Edginton into the search engine on this website you will find quite a few entries, many of one member of the family who was the Fool in the Bampton Morris. A.W. Edginton was killed in WWI.
Clearly Alice was a collector of post cards and it would appear they had been kept in a scrapbook before being sold in the charity shop on the south coast.
