Scope and content

Winifred Cook in Queen Street circa 1940 with her daughter.
Winifred Cook was Fred Daniel’s step sister and aunt to Janet Westman.
There used to be a row of about 6 little cottages in Lavender Square behind the Jubilee going into Queen Street, but they were pulled down and 'Wealhay', a bungalow, is now on the site and was originally the home of Grace Eeles, a relative of the Eeles grocery shop family in the Market Square which is now (at 2018) the Co-op.
