The Bampton branch of the WI had to close when the cost of maintaining the hall in the Market Square, which today is known as the Village Hall, became impossible.
There banner was made by Pat Barratt and shows the items associated with Bampton:-
Saint Mary The Virgin Church
the radio masts originally built in the early 1940s for the Royal Corps of Signals that were stationed in Weald
Ham Court farmhouse locally referred to as Bampton Castle
Morris dancers
Rural setting

The branch was reformed in 2019 and they are known as the Bampton Belles
