Artist Ron Freeborn put some of his work on display in the Gallery as part of Artsweek in May 2005. Ron taught at Sunningwell Art College.

Under the guidance of Hilda Pickard, the Drama Group in Bampton put on many excellent plays and pantomimes in the WI Hall, now called the Village Hall. This entry recalls just of few of them.MirandaOn The Road

These four photographs were taken by Adrian Simmonds from the upstairs of his shop, Bampton Stores at the west end of the Market Square in 1984

These two sketches were done by Alan Beers in 1990 and given to Bob West, who has kindly allowed the Archive to scan them. They are of Cyril Smith and Francis Shergold.

These folk songs were written out in a little note book by Ada Tanner in 1926. It is not easy to find such things written between the war years.

For several years, two shows a year were put on in the Village Hall and this flyer is for one of them. It was for Bowjangles who gave a wonderfully skilful and funny evening's entertainment in the Village Hall Saturday September 29th 2012.

This is the program of events delivered to all houses by the Parish Council to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in June 2012

This picture is of Church View looking North towards St Mary The Virgin church.No cars, no footpath and little in the way of horse droppings so probably around 1940-1950.

This Frog Prince was made by Jo Lewington. I asked her to tell me about it and she said :-

"This dates from my sculptor phase in the ‘80s. I made 3 or 4 of these. One was sent to the head of a fashion house in California ( I remember it as Mr Gucci , but that can’t be right, but he was famous). I think the one in the picture went to another rich American. I can’t remember what happened to the rest but there is one somewhere in the Cotswolds. I made postcards and a leaflet and distributed them around Chelsea Garden Show, but at that time I was off to India for a year and my career as a sculptor ended."
