Tea ticket for Horticultural Society

This ticket for a tea was found in a pile of bits and pieces when clearing out a garage. Teas were sold to raise funds for the Bampton Horticultural Society. The cost was 6 pence in old money - 6d - so pre decimalisation of February 1971.

Hanging the Bampton WI Banner is St Mary The Virgin Church

This dinner party gathering in the WI Hall, now called the Village Hall, was probably in the very early 1960s. Sadly, we don't know for sure why the people were gathering but it may well be to do with the British Legion.

Bush Club outing to have tea at Horace Holifield's in Ramsden in 1999.Horace did a huge amount for many charitable organisations and kitted out his home and garden to enable groups of about 40 to have a lunch or tea

Horace Holifield of Safe Ride in Ramsden was a wonderfully generous man. He created an outer building with a kitchen and invited many groups to have tea or lunch there and he had a very good electric organ inside and would entertain people
