To the right of Cromwell House as seen from the road is The Old Forge, which was as its name suggests the site of a forge at one time but is now a private house, partly in Cheapside and partly in Church Street.
A fear was expressed that fly-tipping would increase when the fees were raised to take waste to Dix pit and other waste recycling plants in Oxfordshire. That was in September 2017; now, in April 2020 the fears have proved to be well founded.
Bampton's C of E Primary School and Nursery produced this delightful leaflet to explain what the school's aims are and how they achieve them. It talks of learning together with Respect, Friendship and Perseverance. The school is an Academy and part of The Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST) as well as being being in partnership with Burford School and 9 primary schools in the area.
The Fairford, Faringdon, Filkins and Burford Ploughing Match Society held their annual ploughing match at Kelmscott on September 26th 2015. These photographs show some of what was to be seen at the show.
The first picture shows the dancers of the Bampton Traditional Morris Men who were out dancing on May 28th 2018. Two dancers were unable to dance that day, Martin Landray who broke his ankle two days earlier when taking part in the Shirt Race and Guy Wiseman. The remaining pictures were taken at many places during the day.

It reports that the O2 telecommunications mast near Bampton has been faulty since it was first reported on August 2nd 2018. There is huge frustration with it being faulty for well over a month and the lack of communication from O2. Much fore information in the article.
