Among artists exhibition in Bampton were Ann Manly and her husband Dennis Harrison with their water colours, drawings by Christine Burgess, sculptures by Juliet Dyer.

In September 1989 the Bampton Branch of the Women's Institute helped celebrated its 70th anniversary of the Oxfordshire WI at Westminster College.

Bampton had a brass band in the very early days of the twentieth century. The picture of them playing outside the Town Hall, taken in 1908 was kindly lent to the Archive by Barbara Daw.
