The SPAJERS once again held the Donkey Derby on August Bank Holiday Monday 2018. Many village clubs and societies have stalls in the field and there is a wonderful tea tent.

Janet Callender is an award winning water colour illustrator of plants and her work was on display through February 2007 in the Gallery along with mixed media artists Joy Perkins and calligrapher and botanical painter Isabelle Spencer.

The debate about whether cows give badgers TB, badgers give it to cows or if the disease is simply in the soil continues as does the debate on whether mass shooting of badgers is the answer. Oxfordshire, it has been decided that vaccinating the badgers .

Bampton branch of the W.I. celebrate 70th anniversary at Westminster College September 1989
In September 1989 the Bampton Branch of the Women's Institute helped celebrated its 70th anniversary of the Oxfordshire WI at Westminster College.

Bampton Brass Band, early C20th
Bampton had a brass band in the very early days of the twentieth century. The picture of them playing outside the Town Hall, taken in 1908 was kindly lent to the Archive by Barbara Daw.
December 17th 1902 in aid of The Foresters' Brass Band.
