Jean, Countess of Donoughmore

Jean Countess of Donoughmore, who died aged 89, was kidnapped by the IRA along with her husband in 1974. The Earl and Countess of Donoughmore were kidnapped from their home in Knocklofty, Clonmel, Co Tipperary in June 1974.
She married John Michael Henry Hely Hutchinson in 1925. He was the elder son of the 6th Earl of Donoughmore. During the second World War she was in charge of the Red Cross in the East End of London and was made an MBE for her work in 1947.
Following the death of the 7th Earl of Donoughmore in 1981, he was succeeded as the 8th Earl by his son , who came to live at Bampton Manor, Broad Street and later at Frogwell, Bushey Row.

Series of Photographs taken on 16th May 2023 of the actual fire and the fire brigade attending at 10 Bushey Row, some of the photos show the flames which had spread to the adjoining property. Luckily there were no casualties.

Newspaper Cutting - date unknown, -but obviously before the houses on Pembroke Place were built as it mentions the children's playing field in New Road. Discussion was the billing of the Fairground Owner Mr Thurston for cleaning the street after the fair. and renaming Bushey Row and New Inn Lane.
Parish Councillors were Maurice Clack and Francis Henly John Quick

PDF copy pdf Funeral Service for Sheila Kathleen Daniels at St Mary's Church. Sheila was evacuated from East End of London at the age of six to Buckland. She married Bill Daniels from Bampton, and was involved with the Morris Dancers. They lived in Fox Close , Chandlers Coles and Bushey Row
