1. Letter dated August 31st 1932, from Clinch & Co Ltd Eagle Brewery Witney to Mrs Bunce at The Swan Inn, Buckland Road. They request forms to be signed and posted back by return along with her magistrate's certificate of licence and she or her representative must attend court on Friday Sept 16th 1932.

2. Letter dated September 2nd 1932 from Clinch & Co Ltd brewery to Mrs Bunce at The Swan Inn, Buckland Road. "Dear Madam, We have today obtained the holdover of your licence and the transfer day is Friday Sept 16th. Will you please let us have as soon as possible 3 references for the police. We do not require your excise licence & the magistrate's certificate we will keep until the transfer day."

3. Letter dated September 15th 1932 from Clinch & Co Ltd brewery to Mrs Bunce at The Swan Inn, Buckland Road. "Dear Madam, Please note you must attend Witney Police Court Friday September 16th for the transfer of your licence. If you will call at the brewery office about 10.45 someone will take you to the court which sits at 11 o'clock."

4. Letter dated September 16th 1932 from Clinch & Co Ltd brewery to Mrs Bunce at The Swan Inn, Buckland Road. "Dear Madam, Will you please sign the enclosed agreement and return it to us. The rent is the same as before and also the agreement with the exception of tobacco. We now tie all tenants for tobacco as you will see in the agreement."

5. Letter dated September 6th 1932 from Clinch & Co Ltd brewery to Mrs Bunce at The Swan Inn, Buckland Road. "Dear Madam, We thank you for the 3 references which we will hand to the police, we have not the slightest doubt but what they will be quite satisfactory."

6 & 7. Letter of two sides dated September 3rd 1932 from vicar F W Gegg, Bampton vicarage, giving reference for Rose Ann Bunce who wishes to become the licensee of The Swan Inn, Buckland Road.

8. Letter dated September 5th 1935 from Col Bliss of the Indian Army, rtd. giving a reference for Rose Ann Bunce who hopes to become the licensee of The Swan Inn, Buckland Road
