Scope and content

Throughout the 1970s and well into the 1980s there was a jumble sale in the WI Hall - now called the Village Hall - most Saturdays and they were always well attended by regulars. There was nearly always a cake stall and bric-a-brac stall as well as clothing.

From Left to right in this picture are Linda Smith, Maggie Snook, Jean Cook, Mrs Ellis, Mrs Coles, young girl Valerie Doughty, unknown, Joan Pearce with two young children Leslie & Steve, Mrs Wells, Kit Jackson and Rosalind Foster.
