Emmie and brother George Bishop delivering vegetables by horse and cart before WWII. Emmie, really Emily Bishop married and became Mrs Emmie Papworth. With the lack of goods available during the WWII, their delivery round ceased.

Emmie Papworth nee Bishop was one of our post ladies, attending a post Box with nesting blackbird inside. She put up a sign asking people to use another box until the birds had fledged. This box was at Bampton and Brize Norton Railway Station.

Fred Daniel Bishop, brother of Emmie, George, Rose and Edie. He went to London with the Morris as collector in 1929 and was out again at Whitsun 1930, but died shortly afterwards, Emmie said, at the age of 23. He was born April 15th 1899 and died of TB February 4th 1935.
