Scope and content

Mercury Close and Pembroke Place play parks were closed because of covid-19. Several parents offered to clean all the play equipment each day to help prevent the spread of the virus. After discussing government regulations with which the Parish Council is required to comply, the revised risk assessment report undertaken in view of the Government lockdown, and advice received from their insurers, the parish council agreed to re-open Pembroke Place play area but not Mercury Close because the latter, despite being fenced is clearly being accessed making it impossible to ensure compliance with Government regulations.
