Scope and content

Long after the end of WWII there was food rationing. As certain items became a little more plentiful they were removed from rationing but as late as 1954 some items were still on ration.

This is a ration book, what is left of it, that belonged to Arthur Gerring from Church View who was married to Rose nee Sollis. There is also a Welfare Food Service book which enabled Rose to have free vitamin A and D tablets for the first 30 weeks after confinement.
