Scope and content

Sundown Cottage was a little cottage just inside the grounds to the right of the gate going into Sandford, down the lane from the Grammar School. When it was more or less derelict it was bought by Molly and Bernard Rose and demolished. You can see the spire of St Mary's in the background. The wall is all that's left of the cottage in this picture.

Janet Westman, Freda Bradley's daughter said "Sundown cottage was the home of Win’s dad Joseph Cook. (my grampy Fred Daniels' stepfathers). Win was his stepsister.

Jean married Harold Bruns."

Jean was the cousin of Freda Daniels.
