Scope and content

This picture, taken c1912 is looking along Bridge Street from the Market Square.
The Talbot Inn can be seen on the left, next to it is a narrow red brick home and next to that is Thompson's high class grocery store which today is The Romany Inn. There are railings still outside the little private dwelling called Hythe House but all the other railings seen here have gone.
On the very left you can see a tiny bit of the Town Hall.
Across the road on the right is Joyner, where clothes could be bought.
