On right of the two men with the steam roller, Eddie Foreshew's Father (Mr Bishop) who worked on the roads as a road mender. He lived in a hut on wheels in Oxford during the week. He died of TB aged 49.
Road workers and steam roller including the Bishop family. Note all are in flat caps and waistcoats; many have a cigarette in their mouth, their shoes don't look really stout and their prongs all have 8 tines.
