The WRVS, Women's Royal Volunteer Service used to deliver meals to those in need.
L to R Pat Garner from Aston whose husband Don was the scout leader in Bampton for many years, Jean Howell who was also president of the Bampton WI and Betty Smith whose husband was farm manage for George Collins at Glebe Farm in Weald. Betty used to make cakes for sale but her forte was the most exquisite icing decorations.
