Gladman Developments keep trying to build more houses in Bampton
The developers Gladman Developments keep trying to get permission to create a new housing estate on land between the Aston Road and Buckland Road. Twice it has been turned down but the company has a 90 percent success rate. Now, at February 2021, permission has still not been granted despite Gladmans reducing the number of houses it wants to build as it has been shown part of the land they intended to use was frequently flooded during periods of heavy rain. West Oxfordshire District Council does now have a development plan so locals are hopeful this whole building plan will get kicked into touch.

This is the YouTube address for the filmed interview we did with Patrick about his working life. His training for being a butcher and where it was done are really interesting and I don't know if it is still available today. Patrick ran the butchers shop in Bridge Street for many years and really enjoyed it. He won prizes for his sausages

On September 11th 2010 I spotted this large, white fungus growing on the lime trees outside the North side of St Mary's. I found it to be very hard, it was impossible to make a dent in it.
