Photographs showing Vera Elward demonstrating flower garlands. On May 23rd 2003 Vera Elward assisted by Midge Newman is showing the children in Bampton C of E Primary school how to prepare the flowers ready to make a flower garland and how to fasten them on to the hazel hoops that she's made. The flowers are in bundles of the same type with their flower heads level and the stems tied. Vera fastens them to the hoops in small bundles. The winner of the best garland in 2002 is showing Janet Newman, deputy head and the rest of the children the plaque she won last year for the best garland
