This picture shows children in fancy dress as part of the fete, probably 1954, which took place mostly at Weald Manor although this picture is taken outside the Town Hall.
The Flower Guild put on a wonderful flower festival through the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May and on the Monday they also sell sandwiches, quiche slices, cakes, tea, coffee and squash.
The Bampton Traditional Morris Men dancing in the morning of May 25th 2015 as far as Ham Court. I didn't follow them beyond this venue so was not able to record the remainder of the day.
On April 18th 2015 the choir of St Mary's went to Lichfield to sing Sung Evensong. It was a lovely sunny day which made the journey a delight and several family members and friends came on the coach to enjoy the day.
Originally, it was the Clanfield Historical Society but their numbers were just too small to make it viable and as Bampton did not have its own historical society, we were invited to join and it's been a great success.

This old wall belonging to Weald Manor is in Weald Street. After days of frost and thaw and rain, this section fell down on February 12th 2013. It's repair was completed by April 15th.

Many people in Bampton has a lovely meal in Bix Gooddy's bistro at Wheelgate House in the Market Square and were sorry when she felt she had to close it and revert to simply offering bed and breakfast.
