These two pictures show the cake holder and the collection box used by the Bampton Traditional Morris Men. The inscription on the cake holder reads:-
In Memory of William Wells, 1868 - 1953. The gift of the Morris Ring to The Bampton Morris Morris Dancers. William Wells was known to all locals as Jingy.

Terry Rouse began dancing in 1964 for Francis Shergold's Morris side. That year was a very wet time and Francis's side was in need of somewhere out of the rain to rehearse ready for Whit Monday and Terry invited him to use his barn at Backhouse Farm. Already a keen dancer of both ballroom and country dancing, Terry loved what he saw and asked to join the side and so began a long career both as a dancer and in the later years the Morris Fool, finally retiring in 2000.
The Sunday before Bank Holiday Monday the Morris sides in Bampton have their last practice. In these photos the Bampton Traditional Morris side can be seen in the garden of the Horse Shoe, their headquarters at the time. People include Reg Hall on fiddle, Joe Perry accordion, Jamie Wheeler accordion, dancers John Shuker, Ray Borrett, Tony Daniels, Craig Godwin, Jonny Shuker, Andrew Lloyd, David Townsend, Billy Main plus Francis Shergold with pint and white stick.
These pictures all taken by Bob West, were taken in 2004. Many are taken in the garden of the Horse Shoe. Francis Shergold's side, the Bampton Traditional Morris Men on Spring Bank Holiday. Craig Godwin and Jamie Wheeler got their tankards for 25 years of dancing with the side, presented at Weald Manor. This was the last year Rod Stradling was one of the musicians with the side.
