Just an amazing coloured sky August 24th 2016 which began with an almost purple sky with a deep rainbow and ended in orange fire

The Bampton Traditional Morris Men, squire Francis Shergold, danced in Wadebridge on August Bank Holiday. The SPAJERS once again held the Donkey Derby on August Bank Holiday Monday 2018. Many village clubs and societies have stalls in the field and there is a wonderful tea tent.

Autumn Glory in Bampton 2009

On 28 November 1946 an Avro York MW168 belonging to the Transport Command Development Unit at RAF Brize Norton failed to become airborne and instead crashed on to the railway line between Brize Norton and Carterton stations, coming to rest in a field, as pictured. Needless to say the line was closed for several days while the RAF effected recovery.

Janet Callender is an award winning water colour illustrator of plants and her work was on display through February 2007 in the Gallery along with mixed media artists Joy Perkins and calligrapher and botanical painter Isabelle Spencer.

This peaceful scene is of an Ayrshire cow enjoying standing in the stream behind The Grange. It must have been taken fairly early in the twentieth century; by 1945 these cows were not often seen where they had once been bred
