This photograph was taken in Tickhill at Rock House when Bampton Traditional Morris Men went up to Yorkshire for a weekend of dancing. The date is probably 1995 but could be 96 or 97.
The ladies are wives and girlfriends and daughters of the dancers and Jasper, the fool is at the centre back.

During a time when the post boxes were emptied by our local postmen and women who went about on a bicycles, Mr Cannons found a bird had laid her eggs in the letterbox at Bampton and Brize Norton railway station.

For several years, two shows a year were put on in the Village Hall and this flyer is for one of them. It was for Bowjangles who gave a wonderfully skilful and funny evening's entertainment in the Village Hall Saturday September 29th 2012.

Horace Holifield of Safe Ride in Ramsden was a wonderfully generous man. He created an outer building with a kitchen and invited many groups to have tea or lunch there and he had a very good electric organ inside and would entertain people

This picture was taken in 1971 and shows the canteen at RAF Bampton Castle in Weald just before the kitchen closed for the first time. Helping himself to lunch is Cyril Cawser, father of Myra and Caroline. He was a civilian working there in the Met Office department.
