Local artist Mrs Sheila Brookson exhibited some of her oil paintings in the Gallery in 1980

To mark its 7th year West Ox Arts held an exhibition of 100 of its 250 local artists' work on the banks of the river Thames at Radcot.

6 pages magazine produced by group of young people covering news and events in the local Villages Alvescot, Bampton, Kencot, Filkins, Clanfield. Published be West Oxfordshire Arts Association Literary panel at Grange Cottage April 1975 costing 15 pence.

This Frog Prince was made by Jo Lewington. I asked her to tell me about it and she said :-

"This dates from my sculptor phase in the ‘80s. I made 3 or 4 of these. One was sent to the head of a fashion house in California ( I remember it as Mr Gucci , but that can’t be right, but he was famous). I think the one in the picture went to another rich American. I can’t remember what happened to the rest but there is one somewhere in the Cotswolds. I made postcards and a leaflet and distributed them around Chelsea Garden Show, but at that time I was off to India for a year and my career as a sculptor ended."

Photo of Henry Box English Teacher, Clive Williams and his daughter Katie taking artwork to be exhibited in the Art Gallery in the Town Hall. In 1980 Pupils from Henry Box were encouraged to put their work on public display.

These pictures were taken in the Elephant & Castle in 1981. Some of the people include Rocky, Steve Pearce, Dave Rose, Keith Chandler, Fred Cook, Roy Shergold, Jasper Walsh, Lionel Cook landlord, Martin Ellison, Harry Ellison, Jan Walsh, Kath Ellison playing the bones, Paul McGrath, Maurice & Carol New.

A letter from Vic Legg to Dave Rose accepting the invitation to attend the Bampton Traditional Morris Men's party November 1981 along with Pete Cock. About 1980/1 Trigg Morris were guests on Bampton's day of dance. They will be coming up from Bodmin in Cornwall. Pete and Vic were members of Trigg Morris in Bodmin, Cornwall.
