Back in the 1980s a club or society had a bazaar or jumble sale almost every Saturday in the WI Hall and there would be a queue of people waiting to come in. This was the Christmas Bazaar held by the Playgroup to raise funds for its running. Mrs Lynne Evans and Mrs Diane O'Brien can be seen with young Neil O'Brien in the top picture and along with one of Father Christmas's helpers are Lizzie Betts, Kathryne Betts and Louise Burton.
Pipe Organ Restoration at St Mary's, Bampton. Work started on February 17th 2016 with the arrival of a second hand electric organ for use while the pipe organ was dismantled, taken away, parts renewed, enhanced and created. These pictures show the work on the pipe organ and the frame that was done at Cousans in Coleville, just SE of Loughborough. The pictures were taken by Ian, one of the senior skilled workers at Cousans.
This delightful telling of the story of Pinocchio was done in the Village Hall in January 2006. Really cleaver use of puppetry, songs, music and storytelling thrilled the children, and the accompanying adults. Neil Canham was the only performer and proved to be an outstanding storyteller.
