Yet again the local plan for housing has been delayed. West Oxfordshire District Council said it is because they've received far more feedback from local than they expected and they need time to go through them all. While we have no plan in place we are open for speculators to put in application for housing developments which really annoys residents
Whistle-blowers at the ambulance service, which covers West Oxfordshire have warned lives are being put at risk because of staff shortages. There are 265 vacancies but funding available for only 90 paramedics in this year. There was a 10% increase in the use of private ambulances in the year. Much more info in the article
Campaigners have condemned the xo-called 'no win no fee' policy of a developer behind plans for more than 700 homes on sites across Oxfordshire. 446 are planned for sites in West Oxfordshire. Sites are in Witney and Bampton.
