Witney Gazette April 2nd 2014. Conman Gary Sheehy conned Lea Mackie out of £4,350, part of the £150,000 she received from the life insurance of her son Jason who was killed in Afghanistan. Sheehy was punished by given community service. He had previously got £10,000, then £3,550 and a further £850 before the final amount.

I respect Jason’s wish to serve in the Armed Forces and when I spoke to him about it he was proud of what he was doing and he felt they were making a difference to the normal Afghan people who just want to live their lives and educate their children.
