These ladies were at a British Legion Christmas gathering in the early 1960s.

This dinner party gathering in the WI Hall, now called the Village Hall, was probably in the very early 1960s. Sadly, we don't know for sure why the people were gathering but it may well be to do with the British Legion.

Andrew McCabe sent the Archive this photograph. It is of his parents' wedding, James McCabe and Olive Peacock, probably about 1950.

"The crest on the lighter is that of the USAF 5th Air Force that has been based in the Pacific since 1942. Brize Norton air base was handed to the USAF in 1951 and returned to the RAF in 1965.

This picture is of Edie Quick, mother of Fenella Gray, Jenny and Ken and wife to John.John along with Paul Bovington was a founder member of the SPAJERS.

Two visiting teams outside the George & Dragon; Eynsham are dancing and Abingdon Morris are waiting to dance. There are no signs outside the inn so it must be post 1994.

Wedding Day for Natasha Papworth, seen here with her parents Tom and Sylvia Papworth. They are standing in the doorway of their home, Emmies, the papershop which sadly closed for the last time in 2012.

Dr Alan Gaydon was churchwarden at St Mary The Virgin for several years and during his tenure the gales of January 25th 1990 blew the stature of John The Baptist off the base of the spire.

When work was done at Castle View, which at one time was Castle View farmhouse, a well was found. When the work to modernise was completed, the well was covered over and is now under part of the kitchen.
