Lighter with the USAF 5th Air Force crest; it was in the Pacific from 1942.
"The crest on the lighter is that of the USAF 5th Air Force that has been based in the Pacific since 1942. Brize Norton air base was handed to the USAF in 1951 and returned to the RAF in 1965.

This dinner party gathering in the WI Hall, now called the Village Hall, was probably in the very early 1960s. Sadly, we don't know for sure why the people were gathering but it may well be to do with the British Legion.

On October 1st 2017 Oxfordshire County Council were to begin a new contact with W&S Recycling which would mean people being charged to recycle items that were free.

A fair was held in the Market Square at the same time as the Horse Fair. The square is filled with stalls which continue on down High Street. The sign 'Robinson Cheap Butcher' can be seen in the square.
