These are just two photographs taken during the Easter Bonnet competition in 1993. John Tanner and his children Nelson and Stephanie can be seen in one picture and Helen Buckingham, Stephanie again and Ann Jackson amongst other can be seen in the second one.
A newspaper cutting about the Easter Bonnet competition held in Bampton in the forecourt of the Jubilee Inn. The judges were Jean Judge from Radio Oxford and Don Bradbury of the Horse Shoe. Debra Bradbury won first prize. The Pumpkin Club organised the competition. Ruth Wheeler won the adult section.
East meets West in a different sense at the Gallery in Bampton Town Hall from November 1st 1997. It's the title of the exhibition featuring the work of Oxford based painter Neil Drury
Ann Manly and Dennis Harrison, husband and wife were watercolour artists with a very similar style and love of painting outside, in several countries as well as the UK.
These two sketches were done by Alan Beers in 1990 and given to Bob West, who has kindly allowed the Archive to scan them. They are of Cyril Smith and Francis Shergold.
This is the program for a play put on by the Bampton Dramatic Society March 10th, 11th and 12th 1937. The play was called 'Barnet's Folly' by Jan Stewer. It was put on in the W. I. Hall (which is now called the Village Hall.)
