A Millennium Mosaic was unveiled in Bampton by the Town Hall by Tony Walker of WODC. The mosaic was created by Rosalind Wates and sculptor Alec Peever made a plaque to commemorate the occasion.

Abigail Ballinger became the new administrator for West Ox Arts in July 2002. She took over from Sally Proctor who had been in post for six years.

Beautiful calligraphy was used to highlight the sonnets of Shakespeare.

6 artists came together to show a mix of styles, techniques and media to show the range of the standard and work being produced by the members of West Ox Arts.

A fair was held in the Market Square at the same time as the Horse Fair. The square is filled with stalls which continue on down High Street. The sign 'Robinson Cheap Butcher' can be seen in the square.

Don Rouse took part in the Mummers nearly every year from 1948 until 2009. He has written this wonderful account of Mummering in Bampton

When Rose Gerring died, aged 89, the Archive was given a box full of all sorts of things that were in her house. This photograph was taken in Corn Street, Witney and the people are celebrating a special occasion

Two happy children with their dog playing in the Highmoor Brook off Cheyne Lane. Sadly the vegetation has encroached from both sides of the slipway making access to the water very narrow.

A tradition has been going for several years now with the Christmas Tree lights being switched on the last Friday in November. As part of the party feel of the evening, there are crafts for sale in the Village Hall as seen in this picture.
