This is a picture of Ham Court farmhouse and the great barn seen from the Bampton-Clanfield road by the two dwellings just before reaching the 30mph sign, before alterations to the barn by the present owners Emma Bridgewater.
In 1947 no girls were allowed in the choir at St Mary's which was quite normal in most churches at that time. In the summer of 1947 these 9 choirboys were taken on an outing to Southsea as a treat.
Charles Cuthbert Menzies lived at The Grange in High Street and April 18th 1939 he applied to join the Witney Aero Club. His occupation was a Publisher.
