Scope and content

This charming little cottage used to be called Pedlar's Patch and today is called Sweet Briar. The gate is next to Emmies on Bridge Street and the house is set back from the road, behind other cottages. It was the home of agricultural workers for Castle View Farm which is next door to it.

The farm is now a private dwelling simply called Castle View and the farmyard has houses built on it.
